PART 1 (20 min)
Warm up
Cyclic exercise, coordination & reception of a volley-shot from the coach in the middle station. Then, at left & right stations: slalom and dynamic exercises.
1.Agility ladder: front & side skipping. Dynamic exercises: free choice from the goalkeeper.
2. Progressively increase pace and speed.
4v1 game in restricted area. Target: 10 passes.
1. One goalkeeper makes a two-touch pass and the second must make a one–touch pass. The goalkeeper in the inside area can block the ball.
2.Improvement of first touch (restricted area–time), improvement of body angle (receiving-passing)
3. The coach participates + 4 goalkeepers.
PART 2 (30 min)
In the first exercise (Figure 3) the technical part will be trained (positioning – body angle – receiving – passing).
Goalkeeper (A) passes to Goalkeeper (B). At the same time the coach shows a colored marker, so the Goalkeeper (B) makes a pass to the corresponding colored target. If the color is white/green, Goalkeeper (C) makes a high pass to Goalkeeper (D) (and the opposite). If the color is red/blue, Goalkeeper (B) makes a low pass to the small goals. All goalkeepers participate in the exercise.
In Figure 4, the time and the accuracy of passing under pressure will be trained.
In restricted area and 3v1 situation, the goalkeeper in the inside area presses to win the ball. Then, the goalkeeper has five options of passing (two teammates, coach and two goals).
PART 3 (with team)
9v9 game (it depends on the coach and the training target, outnumbering/equal numbering)
1. Improvement under realistic pressing situation.

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Give as many breaks as needed to the goalkeepers – some games are highly-intensive.
2. All goalkeepers must participate in the training exercises. They remain active through receiving many touches and repetitions. The drills must also be entertaining and funny.
3. Exercises 3 & 4 must be carried out in realistic areas. The goalkeepers must be aware of the distances concerning the fundamentals of passing technique.
4. Make your trainings effective – Your players should question themselves concerning their performance. If you achieve that, they will be better in the next training session.
Materials: 6 disks, 2 cones, balls (for three goalkeepers)
Duration: 60 minutes
Warm Up
1) 3 v 1 The out players two touches (mandatory)
Coaching Points: Support the ball player, receive with direction (no stopping), quality and accuracy of passes.
2) 3 v 1 Τhe out players two touch but aim for the ball in the center of the square area.
Coaching Points: Understanding when to use through balls, the inside player should position to protect the ball.
Excersise duration: 10΄.
Main Practice
Field dimensions 10m Χ 10m. Progressive increase of intensity and transition between exercises.

Coaching Points: Quality of passes, power and accuracy of passes, body positioning behind the ball, right leg when the ball is on the right and left when on left, receive with direction the change the play.

Combination of catching and distributing:
1. Volley by the coach
2. Catch and roll or hands
3. Back pass
4. Receive and change of play.
Six repetitions and switch. Repeat on the opposite side.
Coaching Points: Decision and quality of interception, quality and execution of passes, receive with direction and follow with a long pass, precision and power of passes.
Excersise duration: 10΄
Combination of catching and distributing pass:
1. Volley from the coach
2. Catch and roll/hands
3. Back pass
4. Receive and pass
5. Low shot during in motion
Repeat on the opposite side. On completion switch positions.
Coaching Points: decision and quality interception, quality and execution of passes, positioning behind the ball at the back pass, interception of low shots, dynamic step before the fall.
Excersise duration: 10΄
Combination of low shots and distributions
1. Low shot to the right
2. Move around the cone and second low shot to the right
3. Catch and roll or hands
4. Back pass
5. Receive and switch with long pass
Clockwise rotation. Repeat on the other side.
Coaching Points:
Dynamic step before the fall for the low shot, fast recovery for the second shot, accuracy of passes, receive and precision of long passes.

Combination of long pass and high balls
1. Long pass
2. Sprint and take position at the goal
3. Receive high ball
Switch positions
Coaching Points:
Quality and accuracy of long passes, positioning at the goal, decision and execution of intervention, stepping out for high ball.

Equipment: 2 sticks, discs (four colors), balls (for four keepers)
Duration: 60 minutes
Warm Up
1) Continuing passing in pairs with two balls, whenever the balls touch attack the ball before it exits the exercise square.
Key Points: Take position immediately after passing, reaction to visual stimuli, transition from offense to defense, quality and precision of passes.
2) Four balls numbered (1,2, R,L). Auditory cue to block the right ball. Then return to center and look at the ball he just blocked. Alternate ball choices.
Key Points: Reaction to auditory stimuli, processing and execution speed.
Duration of exercise: 10΄
Main Part
Reaction game
1. Working in pairs, six balls numbered 1-6 for player one and 6-1 for player two. With an auditory cue each player attacks the ball numbered called. The first one to block his ball earns a point. First on three points wins the set. Two sets.
Key Points: Reaction to auditory stimuli, processing and execution speed, dynamic step before the dive, quality of blocking.
Duration of exercise: 10΄
Three shooters:
1. Each shooter is assigned a color and holds one ball in hands and one at the feet. Visual stimuli of color and shoot or bounce for goal. Faking movements and shoots to trick the goalkeeper. Switch after six repetitions.
Key Points: Reaction to visual stimuli, reaction to a shoot when not in position, reacts after the ball is shot, reaction decision and quality, blocks or deflect, immediate recovery as the action continues.
Duration of exercise: 10΄
Facing a ground or bounced ball
1. The keeper is Positioned behind a stick, the coach opposite him holds a ball in hands and at the feet. He shoots from right or bounces from the left side. The ground shoots are instantly blocked the bounced balls are blocked after the keeper rounds around the stick.
Four repetitions then switch sides for four more.
Key Points: Initial position, reaction to visual stimuli, reaction after the ball, quality and decision of blocking, immediate recovery as the action continues.
Duration of exercise: 10΄
Reaction and shoot.
1. Shooter and keeper face the wrong way. There are three balls each assigned a color in front of the goal. They both turn on an auditory cue and see the selected color. The shooter shoots the selected color ball and the keeper must block. Four repetitions and switch.
A score is kept.
Key Points:
Reaction to visual and auditory stimuli, Processing and execution speed, immediate positioning in relation to the ball and shooting leg, quality and decision of block, immediate recovery if the action continues.
Duration of exercise: 10΄
Shooting out of position (forward/back, side footwork)
1. Starting from the goal line the keeper steps forward then at the moment of the shot he stops and takes position.
2. Starting from the 6 m box he steps backwards 3. Starting from the goalpost he steps left or right accordingly.
Key Points:
Positioning as the player is about to shoot, stop moving and react the instant the ball is touched, bodyweight forward, processing and decision quality, block or deflect.

Technique Training session
Equipment: Sticks, one ladder, cones, discs (four colors), small goals (four), balls (for four keepers)
Duration: 60 λεπτά
Warm Up
1) 3v1 with hands, when the inside man wins the ball (Auditory cue) he rolls the ball to the cued goal.
2) As above but visual cue (4 colors).
3) 3v1 with feet, when the inside man wins the ball (Auditory cue) he passes the ball to the cued goal.
4) As 3 above but visual cue
Key Points: Decision and execution speed, accuracy of distribution, reaction to auditory and visual cues, and transition from defense to attack.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Main Practice
1. Roll the ball then slalom / stepping back and forth / slalom backwards through the sticks.
Position in the small goal then block direct / rolled / bounced ball.
Hand distribution on the ground to teammate, teammate repeats back to the starting position.
Keeper continues to skipping ladder forward / sideways / back and forth, to the starting position of the teammate.
Repeat 4 times, 3 sets.
Key Points: Accuracy of distribution (both hands and feet), quality of blocking and decision of intervention, accurate execution of footwork, communication.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Back Pass and shots:
1. Back pass, receive with direction to pass back. Then takes position and receives shot / rolled/ bounced ball. Repeat on the other side.
Return to the starting position for the back pass.
4-6 reps and switch.
Key Points: Receipt and pass quality, communication, set position, decision and blocking quality.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Shot and following action
1. Angled Shot
2. Rolling by hand distribution, alternate left/right, move to support teammate.
3. Back pass (progressively harder)
4.Receives and pass across.
4-6 reps, alternate left and right
Key Points: Starting position, blocking decision and quality, following action and distribution accuracy, immediate support of teammate, communication. Duration of exercise: 10’
Defense to offence transition
1. Receive high ball at the 1st post
2. Roll the ball to the center
3. Receive back pass
4. Pass to the target
5. Position and block shot from the outside of the box.
Rotate, repeat rotation on the other side.
Key Points:
Placement according to ball position, distribution quality and accuracy, work using both right and left, blocking decision and quality.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Long passes
1. Receive back pass and distribute long left and right. Then take position to receive high ball. Block and repeat on the other side.
2. Receive shot outside of the box and continue as above.
Key Points:
Placement according to ball position, distribution quality and accuracy, work using both right and left, blocking decision and quality, communication.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Equipment: Poles, mannequins, inflatable mannequins, small goals, cones, balls (for 4 goalkeepers)

Warmup
Game
Volleyball
2v2 in a 12x12 pitch
2 winning sets.
The service is a hand throw.
Must pass 3 times before the ball crosses the net to the opposite pitch.
Key Points: Similar footwork and ball handling as will be used in the drills to follow, peripheral vision, communication, drive to win.
Duration of exercise: 10’
Main Drills
1. Dealing with a cross from the byeline and transition into attack with a rolling pass.
2. Dealing with a cross and transition, instant support to the player in possession and back pass, change direction of play.
3. Dealing with a cross followed by a long distance throw, positioning and dealing with a shot.
Key Points: Start Position, decision to exit of stay, decision to catch or deflect, Decision to pass and transition to attack, quality and precision of pass, positioning to support teammate in possession, visual contact and communication.
Duration: 10’
Transition into attack after a cross:
1. A cross form the byeline and transition into attack with a rolling pass. Support the teammate in possession and back pass, change direction of play.
2. Choice of short or long pass depending on the picture of the game, after the change in direction of play and back pass.
Key points: Start position, Decision of pass and transition to attack, quality and precision of pass, positioning to support teammate in possession, visual contact and communication.
Duration: 10’
Dealing with a cross and change Direction of play
1. Variable crosses. Immediate transition in case of catching
2. Increase disturbance by adding Defenders/ Attackers (1v1,2v2,1v2)
Key Points: Start Position, decision to exit or stay, decision to catch or deflect, Decision to pass and transition to attack, quality and precision of pass, communication with defense, push defensive line up after the pass
Duration: 10’
Set Pieces (Corners)
1. Dealing with a corner kick from right/left. Create a realistic play based on the opponent analysis of the next fixture.
2. It is on the goalkeeper coach to work with the rest of the coaching staff to prepare for set piece defensive tactics.
Key Points:
The goalkeeper starts organizing the defenders the minute the ball is out for a corner. Attention to the choice execution foot, if a player is positioned in front of the goal. Decision to exit or stay, Catch or deflect, communication when the ball is deflected by defenders.
Duration: 10’
Set Pieces (Wide fouls, fouls)
1. Dealing with a wide foul from right/left. Create a realistic play based on the opponent analysis of the next fixture.
2. It is on the goalkeeper coach to work with the rest of the coaching staff to prepare for set piece defensive tactics.
Key Points:
Organization of defenders in communication with the first player of the defensive lineup. Setup of wall in the line of the ball. Immediate positioning of the goalkeeper in the goal before execution. Decision to exit or stay, decision to catch or deflect, communication with defense for the next action.
