Work Experience:
February 2017- Current DOXA DRAMAS FOOTBALL CLUB (Drama, Greece) Exercise Physiologist / Sport Scientist (First Team & U19) Monitoring training sessions and quantifying game demands of the players with the use of Pro Polar GPS system Analysis of the data and provide feedback to fitness coach in terms of players fitness and training intensity Taking anthropometric measurements with skinfold calliper to insure players body fat and weight was within professional and desired ranges Conducted VO2max test (laboratory and field based) to determine parameters such as: Maximal aerobic capacity (VO2max), velocity at VO2max (vVO2max), anaerobic threshold (AT), velocity at anaerobic threshold (vAT) and running economy (%VO2max). Conducted field fitness assessment such as yo-yo test, 10,20 and 30m sprint test, Illinois agility test and countermovement jump test to the first team players as well as academy players and provided recommendations to coaches to help improve athletes performance
May 2016- July 2016 LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY (Liverpool, UK) MSc Dissertation: The effects of continuous exercise versus high intensity intermittent exercise on blood lipids and fat oxidation (Awarded Merit) Conducted a VO2max testing to determine participants’ fitness levels prior to the study Interpreted participants’ exercise VO2max test to determine appropriate exercise intensity Collecting blood sample from finger using sharp lancet to analyse blood lipids profile Reviewed participants’ blood lipids results and educated them on health and importance of exercise and nutrition Successfully completed the laboratory testing ahead of schedule of 15 participants
Feb 2016 – July 2016 BANNATYNES GYM (Manchester, UK) Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor (Part Time) Worked one on one with clients to help modify exercises for maximum benefit and safety. Helped clients of all ages and fitness levels improve health and wellbeing by designing personalized programs and nutritional plans. Conducting various of exercise testing such as VO2max, Fat measurement, Flexibility, Rep Max in order to inform clients current fitness levels and their improvements later on after following a personalized program.
